The Princess Bride is a classic love and adventure story told by a grandfather to his grandson.  I think this adds to the humor of the story with the interruptions before they continue reading.  The characters in the story are very funny and classic.  My favorite character is Inigo Mantoya.  I find it funny that he asks every person he meets if they have six fingers on their right hand while looking for the man who killed his father.  I think that the way the story is told makes us appreciate the story more because at first the kid listening doesn't have any interest in it but as it goes on he doesn't want his grandpa to stop reading it and he becomes deeply invested in it.  This creates more interest in the story itself and makes the characters more humorous.  The down side of this movie to me is that the story is very predictable towards the end.  Overall I enjoyed this movie but felt it didn't add much new to the adventure formula.
