The Goonies is a very action packed adventure. The introductory to this movie is very substantial. This is when you learn essentially the characteristics to the goonies. Each character has a very descriptive name, however the names are only one word. For example Mouth loves to talk all the time, and Chub is well a little overweight.
The introductory portion of this movie was done extremely well. It allowed me to get to know the characters and then through out the rest of the movie build a sort of relationship with them as if they were friends i've known my whole life. Building this connection between viewer and character is extremely important to succeeding well in movies. The more text to life connections a viewer can make while watching the movie will make the movies popularity grow.
The Goonies was a very well scripted movie. I was actively engaged throughout the whole movie. Whether I was thinking about pretend adventures I went on as a kid, or thinking about how cool it would be if one of my "play" adventures became a reality. This active engagement sparked my intrest in everything happening in the movie and made it far more enjoyable than just staring at a screen. The way The Goonies was filmed allowed me to connect with each character one on one and compare them to someone I know in my life. I give this movie 9 dominos pizzas for chub out of 10!
i felt the same way about the intro to the movie, i think it was the most important part of the movie
