The Princess Bride displayed a wonderful sequence of love, horror, adventure, and action in an appropriate/fun way.  This film uses these characteristics in the most fluent of ways which draws the viewer in and keeps him/her interested throughout the movie. This movie is not like a lot of adventure movies where it focuses strictly on adventure, in the beginning and then begins to lean toward love and action at the end, doing it seamlessly and perfectly.  One could say that this acts like a cliche, but in-fact this movie is what movies are derived from.
