Smoke Signals

Smoke signals tells the story of a young indian(Victor) and what his life is like.  From him growing up on the reservation to his father running away his life is constantly in motion.  Victors' father has been an alcoholic from an early age, even when Victor was older he still hated the very thought of his dad.  There are moments throughout this movie where you think Victor loves his father, but it is not until the very end that you realize Victor truly loves his father for saving him from the fire.  The subtext in one of the last scenes was Victor running to the nearest town to get help for a car wreck he was in.   Victor remembered his dad on that run, and it was almost as if his dad was running right next to him.  This movie is very spiritual, and i'm sure hits home to a lot of indians.  Very good, and it is a definite suggestion for all that enjoy movies to watch.
