The Goonies

The Goonies, a film labeled as an adventure and comedy, follows a group of kids trying to find One-eyed Willy's hidden treasure in an attempt to save their house from going under foreclosure. I for one, believe The Goonies is a classic and will remain one for a long time, due to the fact that sayings like "Goonies never say die" and the "truffle shuffle", are very well known and still appear in conversations today. This film has pretty much everything you could possibly ask for, thrills, pirates, booty, freaks, and of course bad guys. Not to mention this film had a very clever way of introducing the main characters by starting with a jail break that lead to the Fratellis, or the bad guys, speeding by every member of the Goonies, giving us an idea of how their personalities were by how they reacted to the chase. In conclusion, The Goonies is an amazing and memorable film that leaves you with the strong desire to be a Goonie yourself.
