The Goonies was such a fun and lovable movie. Mikey, Mouth, Data, Brand, Chunk, Andy, Stef, and Sloth go on a crazy adventure to find pirate treasure to pay off debts to "suits" that are planning to turn Mikey's house (and other's) into a golf course. They run into some mean italian counter fitters and face some scary adventures but they never turn their backs on one another. It was so heart warming how a bunch of kids would risk so much to help there parents and be able to stay together. So many new relationships are formed throughout the movie. Chunk ends up befriending the odd looking, Sloth and decides to keep him. Brand and Andy spark a teen romance and Stef and Mikey become better friends too. This movie is a perfect example of friendship and how tenacity can be very rewarding. Even up to the last minute when they think the treasure is lost and there is no hope left, the friends stick together. This movie is a little bit unrealistic and silly but very entertaining and fun to watch for any age. Even though this movie is about kids, you never feel like its too immature for you. I had never seen the Goonies before and I am so glad I did! In other aspects the filming technique was very eye-level like things were being seen from a kids perspective and there were some interesting special effects. I liked the whole experience of watching this movie.
