West side stories

I have never been a fan of musicals, I get really sick of the singing and I think it ruins the movie. Nobody breaks out into song in real life, when I watch a movie I usually want to see real stuff I don't find musicals entertaining, just really annoying. But this was easily the best musical I've seen. The dancing and music wasn't overwhelming and annoying like it usually is. I find most musicals to be more of a way to connect the music into a story, so if I like the music I tend to like the movie. But this musical was more of a movie than most I have seen, there was a better plot to it and stuff actually was going on. The acting was pretty cheesy, but every musical I've seen is that way so I'm going to assume it's supposed to be. But the filming was great, I really liked most of the shots and it made it interesting to watch. I actually found myself watching and trying to kind of learn how to film from it.
