Hair spray

This movie is not only fun to watch but also pretty inspirational to learn about integration in such an important time period in history. I think the filming was done very skillfully from the transitions of setting and outfit changes. I thought it was very cleaver when they switched from the picture of tracy singing to her actually singing. I also thought they switched from song to song in a smooth way. If i were the director I would have maybe picked a younger actor to play Tracy's dad because he seemed a little to old to have a daughter in high school, in my opinion. I am glad they picked actors who had good singing voices and were able to act as well. I think they lighting and filters really captured the time period and it was just all in all a great movie. I think that this movie is a great teaching/learning tool for younger audiences because it showcases some very serious topics in a fun an up lifting way.
