Salesman is a 1960s documentary film that is also a good example of observational filmmaking. This film follows the lives of four door to door salesmen, Jamie Baker, Charles McDevitt, Paul Brennan, and Raymond Martos. They face constant rejection and homesickness as they go from house to house to try and sale bibles to Catholic families. This film gives us a good look at how hard it was to be a salesman and the struggles they face to make a living for themselves. I believe that everyone should at least view this film once in their lifetime.
