Salesman

The observational cinema that salesman presents is second to none. It is a masterpiece of its art and is very impactful when considering non-fiction. Salesman focuses on 4 business men who go through out the country to sell an item, in this case it is bibles. I found the amount of pressure and perseverance very fascinating especially when the use of a religious figure as a pusher in this case. The movie is filmed with exquisite motion and a trademark at the time of cinema verite. What I enjoyed the most is that it included the struggles, ups and downs, and how these 4 irish americans came to be in the selling of bibles across New England. Salesman has opened my eyes in way and I look forward to watching another observational film.
