Elf
Elf follows the story of an elf named Buddy, played by Will Ferrell, as he goes on an adventure to find his father, Walter Hobs (James Caan). Buddy was put up for adoption right after being born, without his father even knowing of his existents. On Christmas night when Santa was making is rounds at the orphanage, Buddy crawled into is sack full of presents and ended up in the North Pole. He grew up living as an elf to later find out that he's a human. Buddy goes to New York to look for his dad. This movie is great for the Christmas holiday and everybody in the family will enjoy it.

Buddy The Elf
My favorite line of this whole movie, “BYE BUDDDY! Hope you find your dad!” You think for having seen this show well over 30 times I would be sick of it, but it always gets me the same. I love how this film is fit for all audiences because in the beginning it’s all animated just like in Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, but the main actor; Will Ferrell, is an older actor that fits well with the older audience. This movie is one of my favorites because multiple of the main characters who are adults give in to their childish side and end up believing in santa. This is a film I could watch with either my nieces, friends or family and they all enjoy it the same.
Elf Film Critique
The film Elf is about Buddy, a man who was taken accidentally by Santa Clause when he was a baby. So he's grown up with Santa's elves and thought he's an elf since then. After Papa elf told Buddy that he's adopted, he starts to search for his dad and finds him in New York. Now the chaos starts. Buddy doesn't realize that he isn't at the north pole and he bugged his father with that all the time. He also falls in love with a woman from the shopping center who is not really impressed of him. But all the negative changes to positive so Buddy and the woman come together and he get a good relationship to his dad.
The film is a cute because he's always talking about the north pole. The funniest parts in the film are when he's saying that the Santa Clause isn't the real Santa in the shopping center or when he goes with his dad to a meeting with his dad's boss and he calls the boss, who is a little man, an elf over and over again.
The film is perfect for people who like Will Ferrell.

Merry Christmas...ELF
Elf is such a lovable movie that brightens everyones day. This is one of the only Will Ferrel movies I actually enjoy, he usually uses more crude humor that I don't find very funny. His over the top, silly acting is perfect for this movie and his character is very sweet. Elf has become something of a Christmas classic for all ages. I think that the writing is very well done because every scene seemed genuine.
Innocence is a main factor in why this movie is so warm-hearted. Buddy does not have any ill-intentions towards anyone and the problems he causes are simply out of ignorance of the world. Buddy tries to help everyone and spreads Christmas cheer where-ever he goes. Buddy struggles with his identity as an elf and goes on the journey to finding his place in the human world.

Elf
In the movie Elf, Will Ferrel does a great job at playing the innocent character. When he goes to New York, there is such a clear contrast between him, and the people that he is around, in that he doesn't get the completely different culture which, in this case, is pretty funny. I think that most of the acting was good too. The different camera angles, especially towards the end of the film were all around which seemed like it would've been a little difficult to do with effects as well. Overall, it was a nice christmas movie to watch before break. :) Merry Christmas Victor!
ELF.
Elf is a funny movie that I've been watching ever since I was younger. It's one of those movies that you will never get tired of watching unless you watch it more than once in a day, or once a day for a few days. It's about a guy who was at an orphanage and Santa went there one day to deliver presents and then Buddy got into Santa's bag and flew with him to the North Pole. Buddy was raised by Elves and then later in his life, when he's about 30 years old, he finds out that he's actually human and goes on an adventure to find his dad in New York City.
Elf
Once again Will Ferrel made a masterpiece with his hilarious expressions and creative writing throughout the film. The story is about an adopted elf who's future looked grim, but Christmas spirit and the kind heart of Santa took him in as one of his own. He struggles to be an elf and his physical characteristics prove to be a limitation to his toy making ability and this makes him question where he is actually from. After realizing his true Identity Buddy goes on to find his Father in New York and after hours with him Buddy starts to grow on his Father and it ends with Buddy and his Father saving christmas together. This movie really put an in movie experience as it gave me the feeling of being in that ironic moment as much as the actors were. There was especially good acting throughout the movie and I look forward to seeing another Will Ferrel film in the future.
Elf
What makes something funny? The use of innocence and the set up of someone who is different from society and is unaware of how to act. The situations that arise from these scenarios are what makes most movies funny. Dumb and dumber, What about Bob, and now Elf are examples of taking a character, making them very innocent and putting them into unfamiliar situations where they will act strangely and often the reactions of the other people around them. Elf does this very well because everyone around Buddy believes he just confused and maybe a bit special because the truth about him is not something anyone would believe and he doesn't know that people don't believe him so he continues to act as he normally would. Overall I would say the Elf uses a familiar formula but adds a good christmas spin to it and makes it very funny.
Elf
Elf brings me back to seeing it In theaters with my friends when I was a little kid. It's a movie that is funny to everyone, you don't need to be able to relate to it for it to be funny. Weather you are 8 or 80 you are gaurenteed to get a few laughs out of this movie. It is also one of the few comedies that are not ruined by a sappy, lame ending. This movie has been a holiday favorite since it was in theaters and will continue to be for a long time.
ElF
Elf tells a great great Christmas story, due to the specificity of this movie it will be best watched around the time of the holidays, but it will be around for years to come. The best part of this movie is the irony. Even though he is an elf not a single person truly believes that. The particular drawn out scenes are a little awkward, but fit together like a puzzle to please the viewer. I give this 10 gifts from santa out of 10~!
Buddy the Elf
"BYE BUDDY, HOPE YOU FIND YOUR DAD" One of the most famous lines of the whole movie along with my favorite scene. This movie is one of my favorites because of the way that it never gets old. You can watch this movie a 1000 times and still laugh. The story follows an orphan who found himself in Santas Workshop, and when he grows up he tries to find his father, who happens to be on the naughty list, in New York. This movie will never get old and will forever be my favorite.
Elf
This is a great comedy and holiday film to watch during christmas time, this was the perfect time to watch it in class to bring a constant reminder to the holidays. This film does a great job by putting the mind of a immature elf into a 30 year old human body, Buddy grew up as an elf and was put into a human society under a drastic turn of events. Will Ferrel was the perfect actor for this role and he did a great job portraying comedy into a positive way as a family movie appropriately

Dumb and Dumber
Not only is Jim Carrey one of my favorite actors (mostly from the film Pet Detective), but when you combine him with Jeff Daniels, you know it’s going to be a good film. Everyone has their blonde moments, but this movie took those moments to the extreme. The two intellectually challenged friends are hilarious to watch and enjoyably unpredictable. What would offend most people or be considered socially unacceptable is just another day to Lloyd and Harry. What’s most funny about this film is how easily I can relate to it. I have a couple relatives that remind me of these two characters and although they can be a little much to handle at times, they are very entertaining to be around. I thought it was creative how the film-maker took simple things such has Lloyd’s teeth, the way they both dress, the dog car, etc. to create the perfect comical set. After reading into the movie a little more, I found out that Jim Carrey’s tooth was actually chipped and he had capped it, but took it off while filming Dumb and Dumber to better create Lloyds character. Although this movie is a little old, the way it was filmed and the comedy to it makes it seem still up to date. I would recommend this show to others because even if it’s not your preferred kind of comedy, I bet you would be able to get in at least one good laugh:)

Dust to glory
Dust To Glory is a documentary about the Baja 1000 road race. All the best in the road rally racers tell their stories about participating in the longest point to point road race in the world. Any vehicle can enter the race in different categories and start times. You get to know what kind of people participate and watch the annual event. Locals even get involved and sometimes get hurt right along with the riders as the roads are not closed off and anyone can use them during the race. While some parts are slow, there are definite thrills and a lot of interesting background. A good solid documentary for any sports or racing fan.
5 Broken cameras
I watched this documentary and had a total change in my view and support of Israel. To see soldiers shooting peaceful demonstrators (kids were also shot at) and also to see then shoot gas at them was horrible. The soldiers always shot at the unarmed and fenced in peaceful protesters. They killed innocent protesters for no reason. The also burned olive trees that the farmers living there had harvested for hundreds of years. Horrible. I will never support Israel again. They are not nice people and we in the US need to pressure our political legislators to also stop sending our countries needed funds to them so they can continue to kill innocents. If Israel is so smart, let them make money and fund their armies themselves.
Jaws
This movie speaks for itself. It's thrilling from the beginning till the end. Outstanding acting-performances, a good story, excellent sounds,... This movie has it all. I bet you'll never take a swim alone after you've seen this. Too bad for the sequels dough ! They weren't as good as the original one. I hope Spielberg takes the time to make an other movie like this one without lots of special effects. (It'll not be easy to beat this blockbuster).

What about bob????
What about bob is the story of a mentally ill patient who learns to spread his wings during a vacation he goes on. Bob's therapist goes on vacation and Bob who desperately needs help follows. While there Bob's therapist gives him a prescription to take a break from all of his issues. So Bob does and eventually ends up getting better. This is a very funny, but awkward movie that will have you cringing at some parts. I give it 9 stalker patients out of 10.

Dumb and Dumber
Viewing the film Dumb and Dumber was quite the experience. The film follows two best friends, Harry and Lloyd. Although they both have sweet intentions, they're not exactly the brightest bulbs in the tanning bed. The film portrays their travels across the country to return a briefcase to a beautiful, wealthy women Lloyd has laid his affections on. Little do Lloyd and Harry know, they've managed to tangle themselves into a kidnapping plot and now have to not only return the briefcase, but dodge violent and murderous hit men. It's guaranteed to make you burst out laughing, but also consists of a few twists and turns in the plot. The movie starts out a bit slow, but it doesn't take long for the plot to pick up and you're never bored from that point on. The film has it's own originality and you don't feel like you're watching one of "those"comedy movies you've seen over and over again. There's a few sexual innuendos here and there, and definitely a questionable bathroom scene, but the film is family friendly and sure to make audiences of any age laugh out loud.

Dumb and Dumber
This film is about two guys, Lloyd and Harry, who bring back the suitcase of a women who Lloyd met on the airport and then he fell in love with the girl. So they drive a long way to bring back the suitcase.
On their journey happens a lot of dumb things to them.
The film has some good jokes but also a lot of stupid jokes.
I think the jokes in a comedy film has to have a certain level because if they are too flat and dumb then it' s just annoying after a time and not really funny but if the film has clever jokes than it's funny and not lazy to watch it.
Jim Carrey fits perfect into this character.

Dumb but hllarious
What this film lacks in plot, in makes up in humor. I laughed through out almost the whole movie. Usually, I think that comedies that have such a ludicrous story line, like any of the Scary Movies, are trash, but this movie seemed to excel anyway. I think it might be due to the pacing. I know you talked about it a lot, but I think you're right. The movies pace seemed to emphasize the humor, and distract form its plotlessness.
I remember watching this movie when I was a few years younger, and thinking it was alright. This time I thought it was truly hilarious. I guess I had to be a little more mature to enjoy the juvenile humor.

Salesman
The observational cinema that salesman presents is second to none. It is a masterpiece of its art and is very impactful when considering non-fiction. Salesman focuses on 4 business men who go through out the country to sell an item, in this case it is bibles. I found the amount of pressure and perseverance very fascinating especially when the use of a religious figure as a pusher in this case. The movie is filmed with exquisite motion and a trademark at the time of cinema verite. What I enjoyed the most is that it included the struggles, ups and downs, and how these 4 irish americans came to be in the selling of bibles across New England. Salesman has opened my eyes in way and I look forward to watching another observational film.
DUMB N' DUMBER
Jim Carrey was one of the main characters in this film and he made it absolutely hilarious. I have watched this movie over 5 times and it probably gets funnier and funnier every time I watch it. This is a movie about two buddies that are very tight on money and one of them drives limos while the other drives around dogs and bathes them, clips their nails, and takes care of them, he's a groomer on the go. The limo driver takes a lady to the airport and then ends up falling in love with her, when he drops her off at the airport. She had a briefcase full of money and then she drops it off in the middle of the airport because it was for someone else and then continues to her flight, the limo driver sees it and runs into the airport and takes it home because he wants to return it to her. Him and his friend drive to Aspen in search for her and they have some really funny moments while going to Aspen. I recommend this to everyone and I give it a 5/5. It's such an enjoyable and funny movie, made for everyones humor.
Dumb and Dumber
Dumb and Dumber is a classic comedy I love this movie. This movie is hysterical its about two idiots falling in love with one girl on there way to Aspen, but they both find tthere selfs fighting or getting in trouble but they don't know that there getting in trouble. This movie is one of the funniest movies from the 90s if not the funniest movie ever. I really enjoyed this movie it kept me laughing throughout the whole movie. Just when I thought they couldn't get any more stupid they did when a bus full of hot chicks asked them if they wanted to oil them up bikini computation they reject and told them to find someone else that was the worst part of the movie.
Dumb and Dumber
This movie is the absolute best! It is honestly my all time favorite movie. Jim Carrey is one of the best actors ever and does not get the credit he deserves; most actors cannot pull off this level of comedy. Jeff Daniels also proves himself to me in this movie....I never knew he was so funny. I saw this move twice in the theater when I was a penniless teenager, and it took a lot for me to see a movie more than once. I can't imagine a move that will ever beat this one out as my favorite! So good!
Dumb and Dumber
Dumb and Dumber, an American road-buddy film, is by far one of my favorite movies. Starring Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels as Harry Dunne, it is an hilarious film that is king of irony. This film is full of ironic events that make the humor levels of the movie sky rocket. Just when you think that they couldn't do anything dumber, Lloyd and Harry always seem to top their levels of stupidity, that keeps you laughing throughout this film. Another thing that helps the humor levels of this film go up is the pacing of it. The pacing in this film is prefect, keeping you able to enjoy the funny scenes, it doesn't extend the scene too long that it's not funny anymore, but just enough to keep the film moving.
Dumb and Dumber
This movie has always been a favorite of mine, it has creative use of comedy from the beginning to the end. Jim Carrey has a familiar comedic background and he did a great job filling his roll in this movie. Two friends (those with lower IQ's) drive all the way across the country from Rhode Island to Colorado to return a bag to Lloyds first love. On their journey they outrun the police and two bounty hunters and make a few funny encounters and wrong turns along the way. This movie had no repetition to anything which kept the comedy even more funny and there was always something new to laugh about.
Dumb and Dumber
This is a very different and interesting movie choice. I haven't seen this movie in at least 5 year years and when I saw it before I thought it to be disgusting and stupid. But, now that I understand more what a comedy is and that I can understand the ironic or hidden chokes this movie was extremely comical. The Idea of having two people dumb but everyone around them think they are joking or smarter than they seem is ironic and comical. My favorite part is when he is trying to explain his love for Mary and says he wants to desperately have love with a school boy. Dumb and Dumber is a lot funnier than remember and I learned more about comedies from watching it. I would rate this movie 4 out 0f 5 stars because it seemed slow or draged out at some parts but overall it was very good.
Dumb and Dumber
Dumb and Dumber is my favorite movie, along with my favorite actor Jim Carrey. This movie is a hysterical example of fast pace comedy along with irony taken to a whole new level. The built of the character while implementing them into a adventure film flows perfectly within the story. My favorite aspect of this film is the what the antagonists think of the lloyd and harry which are smart master minds when in reality they are very stupid. Dumb and Dumber is not comparable to any movie i have seen, it is masterpiece in its own category of film and I literally can not watch it enough.
Dumb and Dumber!
I think that Dumb and Dumber is clearly a classic in its genre. After watching this movie, I still can't tell who is the brains in this comedy couple. Lloyd falls in love with Mary after meeting her in an airport and they go all the way over to Colorado to deliver a "briefcase." The filming was all set up to enhance the comedy of the film which just made it that much better. Overall, it was a very funny movie that I will definitely watch again!
Dumb .&. Dumber
In this comedic adventure of the century two friends Harry and Loyd travel half way across the country to return a briefcase. Along the way they run into many issues such as people trying to kill them, as well as boy on boy action inside of a stall. This movie has an unmatched quick sense of humor that keeps you on your toes. Similar to most comedies the plot is nothing special, but it's the amount of quick twists and turns along the way that make this movie memorable. 10 OUT OF 10 GIRLS FOR THESE MEN!
Dumb and Dumber
I didn't really like this movie. I thought the humor was immature and unneeded. I don't find this type of movie funny, but I respect that many people do. I am glad I saw it just because I hear references to it and now I can understand them. I usually have positive things to say about most films because I can see the artistic values of the film, but I just don't really think I gained anything from watching this movie. It's just not my cup of tea...
Dumb and Dumber
Dumb and Dumber takes R.O.L.F to a whole new level. This comedic film will make you laugh until you pee your pants. The stupidity of the two main characters leads them on an adventurous trip to Aspen, Colorado in search of true love. Throughout the film you see really how far dumb luck can get you. This will forever be one of my favorite comedy, adventure, and romance films of all time.
Dumb
Dumb and dumber is another one of those movies that are funny in an uncomfortable way. There are so many scenes where you want to look away from secondhand embarrassment and that's what makes it so funny. The two main characters make the movie though, I can't think of a better pair of actors to play that part. This is also another classic comedy movie and probably one of the first comedy's I saw when I was a kid.

March of the penguins
I remember seeing March of the Penguins in an IMax theatre a couple years ago and I still think about it often. I'm not sure if it is because of how dedicated the parents are, or if it is how cute they are that resonates with me. All I know is, the March of the Penguins is my number one favorite documentary of all time. Now, the struggle that these penguins have to go through is unimaginable and I for one am very thankful that I am not an adorable little penguin. I absolutely love how the movie is filmed and the closeness that is achieved.
All I can do is praise the people who made this and think of those little penguins for the rest of my life wondering, how do they do it?

DUST TO GLORY
Dust to Glory has changed my view point on car racing. The intriguing story of the 1,000 mile off road race that these people go through blows my mind. I felt like I was there, I felt as if I wanted to win the race, and here I was sitting thousands of miles away. The films focus on "Mouse", who was determined to do the race by himself, only made me more intrigued. Most of the racers had a team and to try and take on this massive task alone, is beyond my comprehension. This documentary is one going on my top five documentaries of all time.

Salesman
The documentary Salesman depicts the true life experiences of four hard-pushing bibles salesmen traveling around a small income of mostly low income Catholic families, attempting to sell them intricately pictured and rather expensive bibles. The film focuses on one specific salesman: Paul Brennan, an Irish-American Catholic who seems to have the least optimistic outlook on the job out of his three colleagues. Near the end, he begins to show even some mildly concerning signs; he jokes on aspects of the job that none of the other men find humorous, and his outlook on being a salesman appears to change drastically. I didn't care for the film much when we first watched it, I just sat back and didn't pay much attention to it. However, the second day we watched it, I finally started to like the film. I found the style of filming: cinema verite, to be very unique and entertaining. It really does tell a story on it's own, and lets you (the viewer) make interpretations about the film, and you never actually know what's going to happen next. The film made me think about what kind of a future I'm setting myself up for, not only as a student, but as an individual. It really seems to be that your job, whether your the CEO of a big banking investment, or the janitor that cleans the office of the CEO, it's what you make of it that really shines through and impacts your life.

What About Bob?
Entering the comedy genre, What About Bob? set the right tone for what a comedy movie should have, quality wise. The film is almost a dark comedy, but in other aspects it's lighthearted. The story line follows successful psychologist Dr. Lee Marvin, and his OCD, eccentric, wonderfully strange patient: Bob Wiley. Wiley becomes extremely attached to to Dr. Marvin and his family, following them on a family vacation. This causes Dr. Marvin to become extremely aggravated with Bob, to the point of insanity. His family on the other hand, is delighted by him. The plot has a "reverse psychology" outline where the doctor becomes the patient, and the patient becomes the doctor. The film is undeniably funny, but has "that" type of humor that only certain types of people would find humorous. In one viewers perspective it pokes fun at very eccentric (maybe even a bit dim) people, while others might see it as making fun of the mentally insane. Further into the plot, it appears that the story makes fun of more uptight, orderly, boring people, and glorifies those are a bit crazy and spontaneous. One of the ongoing themes throughout the whole movie is: clarity is madness. In the beginning, that theme didn't fit the movie at all, but as the movie rolls along, the movie "becomes it". I wouldn't recommend this movie to everyone, but personally I rather enjoyed and would watch it again.
What About Bob makes him funny?
I think humor is the result of unexpected incongruities in an otherwise predictable series of events. For example, what makes a joke funny is usually its punchline, and that joke is only funny if its punchline is unexpected but still makes sense in context of the joke.
What makes the movie What about Bob funny is Bob's ability to screw over Doctor Leo Martin over and over again in drastic and unexpected ways. Each time Bob infuriates Dr. Martin, it was exponentially worse that the last time, and most importantly, was unpredictable. Of course, humor is subjective, and what one person finds funny, another will not. For example, while I can acknowledge that some would find What About Bob funny, it just makes me uncomfortable. On a larger scale, there exists a fine line that separates humor from taboo, but that line lies in a different place for every individual.

What about Bob?
This is one of my favorite comedy films because watching the transition of Bob getting better as Dr. Leo goes crazy is very entertaining. If I was put in Dr. Leo’s shoes i’m pretty sure I would go crazy as well. This is one of those films I watched as kid, but not until recently watching it again did I fully understand some parts. For example, in the beginning when the other man calls Dr. Leo and asks him to take his patient, I never realized it’s because Bob drove him crazy as well. I can relate to this show because although my dad can come off as crazy at times, he is the one that helps our family the most. Just like how Bob helps Anna and ‘Siggy’ get closer to their family. Shows like this are funny because most people probably know someone like Bob in their life that drives them crazy, but they love them for it. Although Bob’s phobias are real issues, it comes off as funny to the audience because he goes about things differently, and you can see him improving by taking his “baby steps.” It is a funny turn of events when Bob ends up becoming a psychologist, famous for the “Death Therapy” book he writes, inspired by Dr. Leo.
What about Bob?
The movie What about Bob is a classic example of a funny movie that consistently gets funnier and funnier as the movie goes on which I am a huge fan of. The character choice and Bill Murray as the main character is perfect for this kind of fun family movie that everybody can watch. It plays of the anger of the psychologist and slowly adds on to that. It was mildly childish so it is understandable it would not be humorous to some, but personally the fun nature is a nice break to the overly crude comedies we have today. It has a feel to it where people would either hate it or love it, for me personally I love the film and I think its a great choice if you are looking for a nice comedy.
5 Broken Cameras
Five Broken Cameras was a very sad film. It was a very realistic movie in my opinion, for a lot of the film I felt that I was there. I felt, that a certain times I was apart of the Israeli culture. It was obvious that people didn't want Emad Burnat filming, which only added to the suspense of the film. You were constantly nervous about what would happen at any point. The endurance of the protesters amazes me. It makes me want to believe in something so powerfully. I believe that anyone should watch this film, if they want to feel inspired.
Five Broken Cameras was a little depressing to watch, but I enjoyed it. It was different from most of the films we have seen in class because it wasn't staged, and it was a naturalistic observational way to study the behavior of people in Bil'in. I felt like I was there during a couple of the scenes because you could see peoples real reactions and see the true behavior of Israelis. It was obvious people didn't want Emad Burnat filming, which added suspense to the film because you were nervous that at any point in time the camera would get shot. This film helped me understand how it felt to live there, and what those people had to go through everyday. It is a highly personal, first-hand description of what was happening in Bil'in that made you sad to see even little kids taking part in. There was a part in the film were a dad brought his son with him to protest, and his son seemed excited to start protesting himself. The endurance of the protesters amazed me because everyday they seemed to return with a new hope that the soldiers couldn't take away. This documentary was a moving work of art because between the voice over narroration and images displayed, it really helped the audience understand what they were going through. You could tell how much work went into it too because it was footage that took Burnat over five years to record.
What about Bob
This movie talk about the Bob who has mental illness. He thinks everything in this world is dirty. He dosen't want toch anything, even take bus open the door. And he try to ask the famous Doctor in the world Leo Marvin. But Leo ready to go on vacation. So he gave Bob a book to read. But Bob still wants to see Leo, he found Leo and meet his family. When Leo saw the Bob he was so angry about that because he was on vacation, But his family think Bob is funny and wants play with Bob. So Bob live in Leo's house and eat dinner, play with his two kids and even on his show. Thats thing let Leo be crazy, he wants to kill Bob, he got some bomb put on Bob's body. But Bob get out and put the bomb in Leo's house. These things let Leo complete collapse. But when Leo see Bob marry with his sister, he waking up.
What about Bob?!
What about Bob is a comedy film about Bob, who is a patient from his doctor Leo Marvin. Leo makes vacation with his family. Bob follows Leo and his family to stay with him and his family because he thinks he needs his therapy also when Leo has vacation. When Bob arrives at the vacation place, the chaos begins.
Bob is a funny guy and a lot of people like his humor except of Leo. So everyone of the family has fun except of Leo, he becomes annoyed and crazy more and more.
This film is a funny film but you almost know what happens next.

What about bob?
Despite the constant feeling of discomfort this movie gives me throughout the entire thing this movie is a classic and that's actually part of the humor. This movie makes you laugh because it makes you feel uncomfortable, it makes you want to look away even though you can't. You laugh because you are embarrassed for the main character, it gives you that "oh no" feeling but the events are so ridiculous you have to laugh at the characters misery. On top of that this movie is a classic bill murray movie that I have been watching since I was a kid so of course I love it. Bob is the perfect character and torments Leo in the most hilarious way, the fact that the only thing making things worse is Leo's attitude is part of what gives you the feeling of discomfort because you know everything is completely avoidable. This movie is a must see and a classic, I would definitely say you don't know funny movies till you've seen What About Bob.
Salesman
In Salesman it shows how hard it was for Paul Brennan has trying to maintain his sales. I enjoyed how the film was black and white, it helped me focus on what the story was trying to tell me. It was difficult to sell the bible in the neighborhoods that have low-income families. This caused Paul and his associates to have trouble keeping up with their sales. This film made me change my perspective on salesmen and how hard it was to be one, however how they manipulated people made me lose respect for them. It also made me realize that it would help being a successful salesman if you believed in what you were selling.
What About Bob?
What About Bob is a funny and comedic film about a psychiatric patient, named Bob Wiley. Bob looks to Dr. Leo Marvin in hopes of being cured of his disorder. He puts Dr. Marvin in many unfavorable situations, which gave the film its humor. Although he tried many things to get rid of Bob, Dr. Marvin was unable to rid himself of his patient. With a funny twist at the end this is a film will keep you laugh and enjoy every minute of it.

What about Bob?
What about Bob? Was a strange movie it was one of those comedies that had stupid jokes in it. Th movie is about a crazy guy trying to get help and no therapies could help him out then he finds Dr. Leo. Leo helps him out for one day because he was going to tack a trip to his summer home and he told Bob not to come but he did any was. Bob was only trying to get help but instead he made Dr. Leo go crazy and at the end of the movie Leo was crazy and Bob became normal and a therapist.
What about BØB?
What about Bob was a hilarious movie and it's very family friendly. It's about a doctor and his patient, Bob. Doctor Marvin goes on a trip to New Hampshire and Bob keeps trying to call him and talk to him but the Doctor is on vacation so he only has very short and brief conversations at times. When Dr.Marvin tells Bob to stop calling, Bob gets on a bus to New Hampshire and he goes to find Dr. Marvin's family. He finds them and the Doctor is immediately annoyed by his presence. Everyone in the Marvin family loves that Bob is there besides Liam, the Doctor. I recommend this movie to everyone because it's actually really funny and it's the type of humor that everyone gets and enjoys. 10/10
What About Bob?
What About Bob was in my opinion a really fruitful comedy i loved the move it kept me laughing the whole move, even the little details on most sense made chuckle. The movie and a interesting plot yet vary amusing, the way bob drew his therapist over the edge was hilarious. I would strongly suggest this movie if you are looking to laugh and have a good time.
What about Bob?
At first I thought I would find this movie annoying because it really bothers me to watch destruction in films. I was happily surprised that I really enjoyed this movie and found myself laughing the whole way through. Bill Murry is always a comedy favorite and he was able to make Bob a really lovable character. I thought it was sweet how Marvin's whole family fell in love with Bob even in Dr. Marvin went a little crazy because of it. I think in the end it made him a better person because in the beginning he was very egocentric and full of himself.
Bob was able to bring out the best in everyone (accept Dr. Marvin) and brought joy into many people's lives. It is debatable if Bob was even that crazy because he was obviously very smart and had the ability to function in certain situations. Dr. Marvin did actually end up helping Bob more than any other psychologist did even if it was very unconventional. My favorite part was the very last scene when Bob was getting married to Lilly and Marvin was able to wake from his coma-like state. Perfect ending.

What about Bob?
Bill Murray played a great roll in this film and knowing he was a part of the cast and knowing Bills background cinematography it was a given it would be funny. The best part about this comedy was that it was random, Bills character Bob was like nobody I've ever seen or heard of before, this movie had constant surprises to keep the viewers entertained and it was also a creative twist to have the doctor end up in the mental institution where he before worked and that his patient/ his worst nightmare will later marry his sister and become his brother in law.
I'm a Sailor!
What about Bob takes a simple man who struggles with a few minor mental problems and matches him and shows his experience with a new doctor. The comedy in this movie comes from situations where Bob is just going through life in his own way and it irritates his doctor and drives him to the point of insanity. Over the course of the movie it becomes apparent that Bob isn't the one who really needs help its doctor Marvin himself. The reason I found parts of this film to be funny was the irony and awkward situations Marvin found himself in as Bob innocently inserts himself into his life. I think this movie sets itself apart from other comedies because the main character is innocent and unaware of the humor in his actions. I really enjoyed this movie and thought everyone in it did a great job at making me laugh.
What about Bob?
What about bob is a family classic. What about Bob, follows a psychiatrist and his patient, who accompanies him on his family vacation. Dr. Marvin is driven crazy by Bobs need to be treated. Bobs constant need to be apart of everything that goes on in Dr. Marvins life pushes him over his limit. This movie follows the steps of "funny" in how it is very simplistic humor. The movie is funny because we see how Bob pushes Dr. Marvins buttons and how he overreacts to the situations. Dr. Marvin is very self-centered in how he wants his vacation to work that when Bob is thrown into the picture, he is not sure how to handle himself or the situation. In the end, Bob is cured when Dr. Marvin tries to kill him and becomes a psychiatrist himself.
What About Bob?
"What About Bob?" is a great, good hearted film with a lot of laughs. Bob is a great character in how he endlessly annoys and irritates Leo. Murray does a great job with his role. The Bob character brings a lot of laughs to the film. A highlight of mine is the shirt that he adorns and his reaction to the idea of it. On the downside, there is nothing that really feels new with this movie. Don't get me wrong, it is a very good and funny story, but it just felt like something I have seen a dozen times before. This movie is definitely a nice watch and will leave you feeling good and happy. Overall it was good, especially for the comedy of Bill Murray.
What about Bob?
What about Bob Is a different kind of comedy. We as the viewers find it funny when someone is caused pain or is frustrated. When Bob annoys doctor Marvin to the brink of lunyness we find this very comical. That is why this movie is a comedy. We as the viewers also find the plane blindness of the family and why he finds Bob crazy to be funny. I really liked this video and have never seen it before. I would recomend this movie to others because I did like it.

Salesman (URL)
In the documentary of the Salesman, it shows the difficulty Paul Brennan has trying to maintain his sales. I liked how the film was in black and white because it helped me better focus on the important things that happened to Paul. It’s easy to become distracted with the surroundings or materialistic things, so the black and white helped me put into perspective not only how film used to be, but also how color films can take away from the main focus or meaning of a film. Throughout the documentary the salesman attend many meetings to discuss how to overcome their struggles. It was difficult to sell a bible in neighborhoods that have low-incomes, so Paul and his other associates had trouble keeping up with their sales. This film made me realize how difficult it is to be a salesman. You don’t get paid for time or effort, but only results. You have to fully understand what you are selling, and try to portray the value of the item to the customer. What I would struggle with the most is being overly respectful towards the customer, at least if they were being disrespectful towards me.
salesman
This movie talk about the salesman and it was 1960s. One of them Paul try to sale the bible to the people. So he need keep moving between the Boston and Florida. He work hard and use different ways to let people buy the sale, and thats no easy I think, but Paul still feel happy.Because in 1960s almost people no religious. This job would be hard and a lot fun. I understand them try to sale the bible, they work go the life.

The Sixth Sense
M. Night Shyamalan directs this spine tingling thriller about troubled child psychologist Malcolm Crowe and one of his patients: little nine-year old Cole Sear who has the ability to see ghosts and communicate with them. Crowe attempts to nurture Cole's gift, at first seeing it as more of a curse than a blessing. Cole is extremely apprehensive at first, but finally agrees to embrace his ability. Shyamalan portrays a sense of fear, as well as curiosity and insightfulness into the world of the dead. It doesn't fit the common horror film, although it does have scenes that make you start. The plot is anything but predictable and literally keeps you guessing until the end. The film touches on the concept of life and death and what may or may not happen when we pass away. The film uses foreshadows rather brilliantly and gives you just enough information to make guesses, but not the whole idea about what is going to happen next. The film is a classic for a reason and it will continue to be for a long time to come.

Dust to Glory
Dust to Glory tells the amazing story of the race of a repeat winner, and his son. They share the fame/spotlight and have an amazing time during this race. The race goes through multiple terrain of a small town/desert/mountain areas. This race is fast paced and intense! Throughout this whole documentary the viewer will be thoroughly engaged, and unable to look away. This film is a real inspiration to follow your dreams and do what you love. I give this 8 trophy cars out of 10.
Dust To Glory
Dust to glory is about a huge off-road race that takes place in Baja, The Baja 1000. It really makes me appreciate off road racing and how truly gnarly it is. The movie shows injuries and crashes and when an injury comes when you are in the middle of nowhere and you are by yourself, its usually not going to be good. Just riding any type of off road vehicle for that distance is ridiculous and can not be easy, the movie really shows you that. Dust to glory doesn't powder it all up and make it look easy, they show you every hardship the riders go through during the race and it truly makes you look at the sport differently.
the 6th sense
the 6th sense is a classic thriller, the movie scares you in a way horror movies dont, and it really makes you think. Its one of those movies you cant look away from because you don't want to miss a second of it. The characters fit perfectly in every scene, and as the movie goes on you start to like them more and more. The movie ends with the perfect twist that leaves you happy but still a little scared without really knowing why.
March of the Penguins
This story is in the Antarctic, talk about the penguin. Here is bad environment, cold , no food and no water. Just the most strong animal in the world can live here. Antarctic aways cold and dangerous. Sometime sun would go down a few days. This movie let me know the how penguin to hunt and what is his food and them behavior. I think penguin is so cute, looks like fat bird. When they walking I think thats so funny. In the winter, a penguin family got a new baby. They will keep the egg between mother's legs. But the penguin mom was tired, she needs eat some food. So she should give the baby to the dad, some parents is good. Some dad didn't catch the baby eggs, because the temperature is cold, the baby is daed. I can feel the penguin parents crying. The other family, the mom need walk a long time to look for the food and the dad stay with the baby. When the mom come back, the dad will like mom walk a long time to eat food and ready for the baby.
Salesman
Salesman is a depressing film that plows straight into the heart of American consumerism and culture of the sixties. The salesmen press on, door to door, to guilt people in to buying expensive, illustrated Bibles. They make people feel as if they need the Bibles in order to be good followers of the Catholic faith. They target the low income and the gullible. In spite of all this, it's difficult to not feel sorry for them. They spend months away from home, and deal with constant depression and rejection. I've always had a distrust of salesmen, and have had the perception that salesmen are sleazeballs. This film doesn't help.
Salesman
$ALE$MAN
Salesman was a great movie that showed the incredible odds that these Bible salesmen are up against, pitching Bibles to poor families. You find yourself alternating thoughts of, "Why don't these guys get a real job?" with "Why couldn't they sell these Bibles for less, instead of these astronomical prices?" Also, to see all these women customers showing their wanting to buy the Bible juxtaposed with their anguish that they will be spending vital family funds if they do buy. Tough to watch, and not the most fascinating film, but it was still entertaining.
Salesman
In this documentary (which I only saw half) I could see how hard the life of a salesman was back in the 60's and to make a few bucks they have to go door to door and not take no for an answer. And it is not like they were selling candy or toys or anything that people had familiar background about, this was a book that could change your way of thinking and offer something completely new to you and open your eyes to a new world and even in modern day people don;t like to change so it seems like a tough life to be doing.
Sal3sman
The salesman tells the story of a group of salesman who are selling bibles. Some are far more successful than others. As far as movies go I would not rank this one on top of my list. I feel that as part of a younger generation there was no point in this movie. Had I been growing up during the time this was filmed i'd be much more inclined to have focused throughout the entirety of this film, but as a new age of technology is beginning it is not as important to learn about the everyday life of a salesman. I do however feel that after watching this movie certain people should not have tried to be a salesman. This is an industry in which you cannot be too pushy, but it's better off to be relaxed and nice as is clearly demonstrated in the movie. The people who pushed too hard to sell were simply turned away. In life it is better to nudge and take baby steps rather than go sprinting into gunfire. I give this film a 6 out of 10, mainly because I do not find any relevance in what the film presented.
Salesman Critique
This film details the lifestyle of the salesman of the 1960's. The time called for door to door selling of products to the consumer without a direct means of mainstream shopping. It is a hard way to make money and the salesmen have to be very competitive and persuasive in their pitch to the households. Living in motels and moving from town to town is a stressful life. Paul Brennan, otherwise known as "The Badger" experiences the good and bad as his life changes on the path of the salesman. Selling bibles was a different business back then, right as people were rethinking their religious beliefs and the new wave of peace movements and social ideals came through America. The Salesman offers a deep look into an interesting career from an older time.
Salesman
Salesman was a somewhat interesting movie that showed struggles of people during that time period. They use many different tactics to get the poor catholics to buy their bibles. It was also interesting how they were portrayed in this film. Their desperation becomes painful to watch throughout the movie. Each sale has tricks and some guilt with them. Even Paul said that he may have "lost it." It was good to learn a little more about salesmen in this era.
Salesmen
Salesmen was possibly one of the most boring movies i have ever watched in my entire life but something kept me watching it. The part that interested me the most was that the salesmen would leave their families for weeks at a time to sell bibles. This movie dragged on but kept me interested in the main character Paul. It seemed to me that towards the end of the movie the salesmen were frustrated and just wanted to go home. I had no idea that was how salesmen worked back in the day, going door to door for weeks on end.
Salesman
This documentary is an interesting look into the lives of a few bible salesmen who are trying to make a living. The main character, Paul Brennan, travels around New England and some of florida, then attends a meeting in Chicago. Paul is struggling to meet quotas for sales of these expensive bibles. It shows a clear and unedited look into the life of a american door-to-door salesman searching for the "dream" of a honest hard work and a pay check at the end of the month. This film was inspired by cinema vérité and the idea of recording and documenting something real and truthful.
This documentary has won many awards in the past but still provides material for intellectual discussion today. We, as Americans should embrace our culture and history to help guide us in our future. Even though I usually don't watch documentaries for fun I am glad that we were able to watch this and learn something new.

The salesman
This was defiantly a different movie from I have ever seen. This documentary shows the everyday work of a door to door salesman and its hard to believe people did that everyday to make a living. It is so much different than our salesman today. Today its either behind a counter or in front of a monitor. The only people you see coming to your house dressed like that would be missionaries. I would give this film a 3 out of 5 stars because I learned from it but it also didn't interest me as much with the sitting around talking and just smoking. Overall it was a decent movie.
Salesman
Salesman I thought it was a horrible movie it was hard to watch I din't understand what was going on. I almost fall asleep during the movie I think the movie was about selling bibles everywhere it was probably a great movie to see back then. Its a great movie to see if you are looking for history about the 1960's and how it worked. It looked like that being a salesman was a hard job to do because you have to push people to buy the product that you are trying to sell to them. If you like a old classy documentary then this is a movie to see.
Salesman
A great poignant work of 'cinema verite'. Beautiful transfer on the recent Criterion DVD release. Very intimate film. A gripping portrait of a salesman losing his touch, and consequently, his career. All the salesmen photographed in this film are fascinating characters to watch. Great non-fiction filmmaking.
