Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 came out in theaters in 2010, when I was 13. I have always loved the Toy Story series, and no matter how many times I see them, each one makes me cry. Not as much as Up, but I still cry. That's saying something, because I didn't cry in Les Mis. Not once.

What I've found that makes Toy Story 3 (along with Toy Story 1 and 2) is that they are all standalone fantastic movies, as well as an amazing trilogy. You could watch Toy Story 2 or 3 without seeing the previous ones and it would make complete sense. Many sequels tend to flop because they rely too heavily on the original film, like Grease 2. The key to a perfect sequel is to base the plot off of the original, but keep referencing and/or mimicking the original to a minimum. I'm curious to see how Catching Fire turns out, as it's the sequel to The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games was done very well; I just hope the director chose good scenes to highlight from the second book.

Also, I've heard rumors of a Toy Story 4, which I have mixed feelings about. On one hand, I feel like Disney is pressing their luck and might end up with a total flop for the movie, but on the other hand, if I know Disney, they'll knock it out of the park.
