Gandhi

The movie Gandhi in my opinion was a extremely good movie, the movie really put me in there feet i felt what they felt in the film i thought the story really touches the viewers well the people that were engaged in the movie. The powerful story about Mr. Gandhi trying to get rid of indian profanity and any other colored people. I really enjoyed watching the cinematography  in this film, the sets in the film were amazing, so perfect! The acting in the movie i assume was very accurate and extremely good.

Gandhi

Gandhi is one of the most affective historical drama which gives the viewer a full empathetic feeling toward the main Character Gandhi. Gandhi is a man of God who lives his life with forgiveness and love towards people. He wanted equality, but did not want to acquire it through violence so he went through the country of Great Britain and India spreading his word about protest. The things this man did will not only be relevant of his time, it will be an example how success can be obtained without guns, knifes, or knuckles. The movie did one of the best jobs with character recruit and character portrayal as they do it perfectly throughout the film.

Gandhi

I know of Gandhi but not all the trouble he went through to achieve what he did before his death. This movie presented a great visual representation to the life and struggle gandhi went through. Most people do not know that Gandhi was nobody special, he was just a educated lawyer that wanted to prove a purpose and he did, and many followed him and he changed the history books for years to come.

Gandhî

Gandhi was a very interesting movie, but I enjoyed how he decided to live his life. He was very independent and he did whatever he wished. He didn't care about the police or authority in general, he wanted to live a peaceful life, and he did just that. He cared about his people and he wanted the best for everyone. I personally wouldn't watch it again but I would recommend people to watch it at least once. 7/10.

GANDHI

Gandhi has truly opened my mind to the idea of winning a fight without throwing a single punch.  It is a win of empathy in my opinion though.  Gandhi wanted the authority to feel the pain that they inflict on him.  In this way he would gain his rights.  At some points I felt frustrated watching this movie as to why Gandhi would choose to fight back this way, but in the end he had full control over his emotions and this is why he won the battle he had.  I give this 10 acts for freedom out of 10.

Gandhi

Gandhi is a film about the independence fighter Mahatma Gandhi from 1982.
The film shows his life and his beginning for the fighting for independence.
The actors were pretty good and Ben Kingsley, who played Gandhi, looked
really similar to the real Gandhi.
The film was pretty hard to understand for me because they had an strong accent.
The picture is good although the film is pretty old. I missed the music in
some scenes because it would have made the film more exciting. Music is
an important part of a film it describes and helps to understand the emotion better.
How we can see in the movies today music is in every film a big deal. It doesn't
matter which genre it is in action, love story, humor in just every film.
I didn't know so much about Gandhi before so it was interesting to learn a little
bit about his life. The fact that he started his  nonviolent fight in Africa was new for me.

Cinderella Man

I think this movie is pretty good, the best exciting part is when they are fighting. I feel this movie is very real, like hit someone's face and the blood and character expression. This story talk about the a boxer name is James, they are reach family, his has 3 kids and a beautiful wife, they love each other so much, everyday his wife and his kids will wait James go home. Because the Great Depression, they are poor family now, so James go find job and decide to be a boxer again. I think thats will be hard to show us how they fight. I am still interesting about where is the camera and how they do that when they are fighting , anyway this is a great movie i like it.

Amazing Grace

I did like how he was trying to free the slaves but over all it was a okay movie to see. That ever one has to fight for your right or someone else rights though out history this has been going on even now we still have problems of humans right's. I didn't know that there was a white person fighting for black freedom back then in England and it was my first time I say this movie there was some history that I didn't know about. It was okay cinematography it had some good shots but I dint think it was that good. The acting in this movie was okay I don't really know much about this acting but it was good. The rate I would give this move one was bad and ten as good I would have to say six.

Cinderella Man

I thought this movie was a great movie, you really lived in his shoes I felt the pain he was going though. The end of the movie was the best part of it. Life back then was a lot hard then life now in the movie you can see how hard people tried to live and everyday you were looking for a job. Today you don't have to look that hard for a job so it was ruff back in the 1910's. I didn't know anything about boxing in tell this movie then this was the first time I say this movie. The acting in this movie is great I think it would be hard to act in sports movie because you have to act like a athlete. They did a great job on recreating the great depression and it was a great movie.

Amazing Grace

The inspiring story of how one man's passion and perseverance changed the world. Based on the true life story of William Wilberforce, a leader of the British abolition movement, the film chronicles his epic struggle to pass a law to end the slave trade in the late 18th century. Along the way, Wilberforce meets intense opposition from members of Parliament who feel the slave trade is tied to the stability of the British Empire. Several friends, including Wilberforce's minister, John Newton, a reformed slave ship captain who penned the beloved hymn Amazing Grace, urge him to see the cause through.

Cinderella Man

The Cinderella movie is one of great inspiration, dedication, and perseverance. This film really builds the character from the beginning as a way to give the viewer a more empathetic experience, the film does this by showing his good times and his bad ones along with ensuring the quality of the character through his actions and thats were I found the empathy within me. It also appeared when he pushed through everything that was thrown at him whether that be famine, absence of money, and loss of kids and all of which he overcame. The story couldn't have ended better, he took down Max Baer, who was the heavy weight champion, which set a life of fortune for him and his family. The inspiration qualities of this movie resemble a kind of David vs Goliath which can be and was very entertaining.

Cinderella Man

Never felt bored for a minute even after watching it the third time. The fights just keep you glued to the screen, getting ooh and ahhs out of you even when you know the result. Russel crowe is awesome throughout. Baer's character was portrayed to be a tad too aggressive, it could not have been the same in real life. The scenes depicting the hard lives in the great depression period are also well shot and you do feel for the struggle of the people then. Not much role to do for Renee but she is good in parts. Paul Giamatti is excellent as Jim's friend and coach, the way he gets excited seeing Jim win the second comeback fight and when Jim does not play safe in the last round of championship fight is amazing. must watch!

Cinderella Man

Coming into this film I had no idea of what the story was. I have always enjoyed history and big events of history but I never heard of the story of James J Braddock (Cinderella man). This movie was a great visual representation of a hard time in American history in the early 1930's in the time of the Great Depression, it is amazing seeing the journey of a professional boxer that is paid handsomely and when the depression strikes he looses his career and begs for a job at the harbor gates. Life for everyone was tough during the depression and the film really showed how much suffering people went through and how they would have to send their kids away because they could not support them to keep on living. Braddock got a second chance and was lucky to get it in such hard times and throughout his second chance people started doing better economically as the time of the great depression began to lift and people enjoyed life once again.

Cînderella Man

Cinderella Man really made me gain respect for boxers. I never knew how much they had to train and how hard they got hit in the ring. I enjoyed this film because it told a story of a very successful boxer. In the final match, he goes up against a guy that has killed people in the ring because of how hard he would hit them, but he knew that wasn't going to happen to him. He was self motivated and he believed in himself which payed off at the end because he ended up winning the boxing match even though none of them got knocked out. I would recommend this to everyone because its a very inspirational movie and its a really good film all in all. 10/10

Cinderella man

This movie follows James Braddock through a series of events that take place.  I would not say that these events make him the man he is, but he gets through these events because he's the man he is.  James never puts himself first, and is a worker.  James will grind for what needs to be done, to keep his promises, or to work to make money for his family.  This movie will inspire you to work as hard as possible and kick some ass if you have to.  It is in my opinion impossible to watch this film and not feel motivated to go and get at life.  The angles/way the fights are filmed are not reassuring to you as the audience, and makes it that much sweeter for you when the film ends.  I give this 10 rounds out of 10 with no knockout.

Cinderella Man

Normally i’m not into boxing because beating another man nearly to the point of death never interested me, but by the end of this film I was shouting at the screen for Jim Braddock to win the fight. I’ve seen this film before with my dad, and I could watch it over a hundred times. I’m a big fan of the main actor Russell Crowe, probably because he plays gladiator as well (which is another one of my favorite movies). The storyline hooked me right away from the beginning of the film. It was sad to see that during that time period people didn’t care how much they made, they just desperately wanted a job. It would be hard to go through an economic crash like that with a family. The camera movements and shot selection impressed me because it looked like they really were hitting each other, especially in the close up shots. I always wondered how they made that visual effect work so well. I believe people can relate to this film now because not everyone is perfectly financially stable, and Jim Braddock gives them a sense of hope. Just like he did for everyone in that church before he started his final match. I loved how intense this film became by the end, I felt like I was on the edge of my seat during every fight. The first time I watched it was so long ago that I forgot how it ended, so it was just as suspenseful the second time. I wouldn’t do anything differently as the director because I enjoyed everything about this film. :)

Amazing Grace

Amazing Grace; which is a representation of the time period between the 1780’s to the early 1800’s, focuses on the life of a British politician named William Wilberforce. He later joins the movement to end the trade of enslaved Africans. This film features many well known British actors, such as Tom Courtney and Michael Gambon. Before this film I had never heard of them, but it doesn’t surprise me that they are high-profile because they played their parts very well. I didn’t like how the film started out a little slow, but it all started to make sense when William began taking part in the movement. This film brought to my attention how serious the slave trade was during that time and how natural it became to most of the people. The shot selections went well with the movie because even though the actor wasn’t saying anything during a scene, the shot of his face explained it all. The quality of the film seemed to match the time period well. Making an older film like that would be difficult to match the environment, language, and attire. If I was the director I wouldn’t do anything differently because the film had a good storyline and transitioned well from beginning to end.

Cinderella Man

The film Cinderella Man is about the boxer Jim Braddock. The film acts during the time of the Great Depression. He lost his job as a boxer and has to do another job. But then he got a chance to start little box fights again and he's successful. His family has to struggle with poverty during that time very much. The winter is hard for them because they can't pay the electricity anymore so the company turns off the electricity and they freeze a lot and have almost no food.
And as wouldn't be it bad enough Jim breaks his hand, so fighting with a broken hand is actually impossible. The mother decides to send the kids to family members, where they can live warm with enough food until the family has enough money again. That makes Jim angry and sad to let his family break apart but he doesn't give up and he fight literally for his family in the boxing ring.

Russel Crowe, who acts the character Jim Braddock, is amazing in this film.
The film was also more exciting than Amazing Grace because you could feel more with the family from the beginning until the end. In Amazing Grace it was pretty hard to build a relationship with the characters. And at the final fight you were really electrified.
The film shows also how the people lived during the Great Depression and that you shouldn't judge people from the outside and how they are dressed. Because Jim's manager was always nice dressed and he lived in a wealthy looking house but when Jim's wife entered the house, nothing was in there, no furniture because they couldn't afford that anymore.
I like this film because he never gives up and it shows what people are able to do, when they have to fight for something.

Amazing Grace

These type of movies, historical dramas, are the kind that my mother watches religiously. She loves historical dramas, and I never really understood why. They were all about talking and politics and social structure. I never found it appealing until I sat down to actually pay attention to one. The complex plots with subtext upon subtext are fascinating. In Amazing Grace, the beautiful cinematography highlighted the contrast between the filth of slave trade and the luxury of Parliament and its members' living spaces. Benedict Cumberbatch eloquently expressed the struggle of Parliament members to fight for what they believe in while not violating the rights or livelihood of the country.

I prefer him in Star Trek, though.
