Salesman Critique

This film details the lifestyle of the salesman of the 1960's.  The time called for door to door selling of products to the consumer without a direct means of mainstream shopping.  It is a hard way to make money and the salesmen have to be very competitive and persuasive in their pitch to the households.  Living in motels and moving from town to town is a stressful life.  Paul Brennan, otherwise known as "The Badger" experiences the good and bad as his life changes on the path of the salesman.  Selling bibles was a different business back then, right as people were rethinking their religious beliefs and the new wave of peace movements and social ideals came through America.  The Salesman offers a deep look into an interesting career from an older time.
