The Hunt for Red October

In this action film, it follows the submarines, during the 80's. The action pact scenes of naval combat will hold you on the edge of your seat for the entire movie. The story follows the lives of the United States and the Soviets in their submarine warfare. When the Soviets create a new nuclear submarine, the commander of the ship goes astray so the ship can not be used against the americans. This action packed movie will keep you on the edge of your seats. I am so thankful that I had the chance to watch this movie.

The Hunt for Red October

I think this is a pretty good movie and let me know what is the cold war. let me know how Russian government and American government work on the cold war. Both of them kid like so nervous each other. And in that time, Russia and America they both have high technology weapon, like dunker and plane, they try to find each other in the ocean. Both of them are pretty smart. They used the radar and sonar and some high technology stuff to defense and to know where you are. I also know the Russia solider's life style from this movie, they kind like to singing, when they in the dunker, all the solider are singing a song, I think that will help they feel more proud of their country.

The Hunt for Red October

The film The Hunt For Red October is produced in 1990 by John Mc Tiernan. The film is about the russian submarine boat, which heads towards the USA. The US submarine is afraid that the russians throw a nuclear bomb on them so they try to solve this situation.

The film is exciting and Sean Connery as Marko Ramius, the russian captain, did a good job.
I liked the most the film's amazing technology. The U-Boat under the water looks pretty real. The film doesn't look like that old. So they used a good technology.

Red October

The movie red october is an interesting story about the cold war, this movie focusing on the russian and American weaponry was and who had the most advanced weapons and machinery. The movie Red October had some of the most revolting movie about the cold war. it was very interesting to know about what happened in those subs how the russians had a special motor to make the silent and extremely fast and how the americans figured out how they could track them. Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin i think played a great role as caption and lead commodore they both were good leaders. My favorite part of the movie would have to be the end, the suspenseful seance when the rocket was about to hit the american ship but then the russian ship blocked it.

Hunt for the Red October

Hunt for the Red October displays a very suspenseful and action packed 90s film.  General Rameous is wanting to defect and has found this state of the art silent submarine system, he uses this as a way to get nuclear weapons undetected into washington territory leaving the United States defenseless at the matter. Character choice of the movie was flawless, Sean Connery played the Generals role with a lot of empathy which gives the movie a lot of depth. This movie is great and will be a work of art throughout the ages of film.

Hunt for Red October

This was a great film revealing the visual representation of a spectacular event in history. Historic events that are remade by movies give the audience a good visual on how the events actually took place. The hunt for red october was a great movie showing the fear we americans had when there was a enemy sub armed with weapons of mass destruction in the middle of the sea and we had no idea where it was.

Hunt for red October

This film is Sean Connery at his best.  The amount of intensity that the acting brings to the table in this movie is ridiculous! If while watching you get into the characters and try to figure them out this is an amazing movie!  Don't just cost through while watching this, if  you focus this hunt will bring you to the edge of your seat.  There is not much physical "action" but the amount of intensity presented in this movie makes up for the lack of action!  I give this 10 out of 10 sunken submarines.

Citizen Kane

Citizen Kane follows the story of  a group of reporters who are trying to decipher the last words ever spoken by Charles Foster Kane. A newspaper tycoon. The word last spoken by Kane were "Rosebud". They had no idea wether the words were of a person, a certain amount of money, a will. No one knew The film begins with the news reel detailing Kane's life for the masses. The amount of money that this man had and the amount of time he spent in the newspaper industry. This black and white film will keep you wondering until the last seconds of the movie. This is  a movie I would not have watched on my own time, so I am excited that I had the chance to watch the movie with this class.

Indiana Jones

You know, its a good movie when the director is Steven Speilburg. This jaw-dropping, thrill-seeking, pants-peeing action film has kept people on their toes since the day it showed in theaters. The timeless classic of action is symbolized by this movie. No other movie will ever be able to touch the sentimental value of this movie and what it represents. For those who have not seen this classic, it follows an archeologist through his time searching for ancient artifacts, in this particular story, he is looking for the Ark of the Covenant, which holds the all the power of human existence. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seats until the bitter end.

Indiana Jones Film Critique

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the lost Ark is a famous action movie. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg and main character Harrison Ford. The film is produced in 1981.
The film plays in the year 1936 and Indiana Jones is on a treasure hunt. He has to handle different dangers and hard challenges like to overcome his fear of snakes and to fight against his enemies.
It is a good old action film which is not like the action films from today in which the main things are focused on fast cars, money, alcohol, fights and women. Indiana Jones is about the good old treasure hunt.
The music is like James Bond's music, very famous. Everyone knows exactly the song if it's played somewhere. I think Harrison Ford could have made a better job when he done stunts. Sometimes it looked unreal and overacted. But in overall he did a good job. The film has pretty good effects.

Goldfinger

I’ve always been a James Bond fan, but I haven’t seen the majority of the earlier films. I enjoyed Goldfinger because even though it was an older film, the gadgets, intricate sets, and hidden jokes were creative. Although some of it was a little unrealistic, especially the sound effects. Goldfinger follows the same standards of most action films because it’s typical for the ‘good guy’ to dodge every bullet and kill everyone else with ease. Most Bond films have the same cycle. There’s a creative intro where it shows off Mr. Bond, he meets a gorgeous woman that of coarse falls in love with him, bond gets caught, somehow he escapes, and then eventually saves the day. I love these action films, but if I was the director I would want to change up the storyline or what happens to Mr. Bond in the end just to keep the audience guessing. Through this film I learned that women at that time (during the 60’s and 70’s when this film was made) were still seen as a step lower than men, and the demeanor of each James Bond is the same through the whole series. Sean Connery made a good Bond, but the visual effects were almost too much of a distraction for the good acting. Overall I enjoyed the film, but a few minor improvements could have been made.

Indiana Jones

This is really exciting movie, there are action and I think its exploration movie, but I think if there are more comedy, will be better. And the snake was really scare me, thats really a lot snakes. This movie is not just in America, they have went to the other place to finish this movie. This is just frist one, i am also want watch more movie like that. But I think that story is too old, like world war II, I want they use more high technology to look for something. that will be more interesting.

Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones has always been a film that I will be interested in. A movie that was filmed in the 80's and that is still viewed today is one for the books. This movie was better than the original 007 movies because I think the culture change over the years has taken a drastic toll on how people view movies. The technology, actors and story line in Indiana Jones is a lot more interesting and more pleasurable to watch. This trilogy will remain in the books of cinematography forever.

Indîana Jøne$

Indiana Jones was actually very good and the action was INCREDIBLE. I was never a fan of the Indiana Jones movies but after watching this one, I like it. I really enjoyed the fact that Mr.Jones came really close to dying a couple times but then he would always make his way out of the situations. I think people should watch this film, it was really entertaining, it didn't bore me at all. 10/10

Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones and The Lost Ark is my favorite movie from the incredible series. Harrison Ford plays his role flawlessly as he goes through different scenarios and precarious situations with effectiveness and style.  I love how Steven Spielberg touched on the realms of impossible with the feeling of it being conceivable, it really takes fantasy to a whole new level. For the time of filming the visual effects were phenomenal and quite frankly believable most of the time, but of course there were some aesthetics limitations. This film is spectacular and I wish Henry Ford was younger because a new Indiana Jones would be amazing.

Indy

Indiana jones and the lost arc is anther classic, probably my favorite out of the Indy series. Somewhat simaler to James Bond, Indiana jones is another one man show where he seems to complete impossible tasks with little or no help. They obviously both get a girl or two along the way the only huge difference is the way they treat them. Bond is kind of a womanizer, but Indy seems to treat them better. There was a sex scene in Goldfinger, and it was pretty much against the woman's will. When Indys came on it was the girl approaching him. I think this has a lot to do with the time of the two movies, a lot changed between after the 60s with women and how they are treated.

Indiana Jones Ark

This movie combats the bond series very well.  This movie has a more developed intelligent plot as opposed to being a gunslinger than getting the girl.  The ladies also play a more valuable role in this series as opposed to just being in the movie as the heros prize.   Indy is a great movie that will have you on the edge of your seats throughout the entirety of the film.  This is one for the ages.  10 out of 10 whips.

Ghandi

I only saw half of ghandi but the movie was extremely motivational and taught me a lot about Ghandi and his battle with the south african/british government. I didnt know anything about this story so all information was new to me. For the time of the movie i thought it was filmed really well, the movie had the perfect feel and if it wasnt exactly what the producers were aiming for it definitely worked out perfectly.

Ghandi

Even though we only watched the first half of the movie, I was intirigued. I have to admit, I've never really known very much about Ghandi, other than he did a lot of great things, but I never knew the background or the history behind him. I had no clue he was actually a lawyer. This movie was such a surprise to me, I really had no background an him. This movie really opened my eyes to him and it made me want to watch the rest of the movie.

Cinderella man

This movie may be one of my favorites that we have watched in this class, had I known what this movie was about, I wouldn't have gone to see it or rented, but I am so thankful that we watched this movie in class because it might be one of my new favorites. This movie really shows what it was like to live during the Great Depression. There were the wealthy and the poor and no in between. This movie shows this time period in a way that it is almost unfathomable. It's shocking just how little people lived on, I can't imagine making decisions that these people made at this time. The story and plot of this movie is any thing but simple. I absolutely love this movie.

Amazing Grace

Based on the true story of William Wilberforce, this truly inspiring story and movie really makes you question the limitations of man. William was responsible for steering anti-slavery acts towards the British Parliament. The story follows William through the 18th era, while he tries to push this cause of injustice through the British community, with the help of a previous slave, some fellow friends. This time period describes where the song Amazing Grace came from and the time period of which the song talks about. This movie really makes us wonder, just what people can do when they set their mind to it and never give up.

James Bond Goldfinger

The film Goldfinger is the third part of the action film series of James Bond.
It was made in 1964 by Albert R. Broccoli.
The main character is Sean Connery who plays James Bond. He made a good job.
The picture and the technology at the beginning when the film shows who took part at the production of the film is really good because they show parts of the film on a women with gold color. I was surprised by that technology. The music was very good as well. Every James Bond film has its own Theme song, which every one knows.
What I didn't like is that the film gives the women a role as just a tool. For example no matter where  James Bond is, if there is a beautiful woman then he kisses her and then the women's aren't important anymore for the rest of the film.
It was the first James Bond film I've ever seen and I liked it.
I would like to watch a James Bond film of the couple last years to compare what changed in this time period in technology, camera, picture and acting.

gold finger

This movie its pretty good and I think there are more action in this movie that will be better. This movie  was pretty old. Talk about the most rich man in the world, he ready to stole the gold, 007 go figer out whats going on, and there is a girl who is help 007. I ask my host father, also the song gold finger is pretty famous in the world, the song of this movie. This movie is most famous movie in the 007, I also can feel the 1960s english song. Shirley Bassey has pretty good voice, I love this movie and the song.

Goldfinger

My favorite James Bond movie yet, Goldfinger easily blows any spy movie out of the water. Goldfinger was one of many James Bond movies, and out of all of them it made the most sense and was the most realistic. Every new movie James Bond gets less realistic. Something I really liked about Goldfinger Bond was how he just seemed like an above average spy rather than the inhumanly talented/superhuman spy we now know as James Bond. It would be hard to believe if you saw him now, but Sean Connery was the best James Bond yet, Goldfinger is a classic and extremely under appreciated.
Both acting and film production were on point especially for the time of the movie. It may just be the Aston Martin DB5 and nostalgia, or the movie production but Goldfinger is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Gold Finger

Gold finger was a really good film. I enjoyed looking back into the past and seeing what it used to be like and seeing what the old James Bonds were like. The films action was endless and the lover never stopped coming, his (Sean Connorery) was so smooth in this film. My favorite part of the movie was the car scene when he was being held hostage and was at gun point and he flicked open the secret compartment in the stick shifter and pushed a button that was the button to eject the passenger seat. I all so enjoyed the sets they were so detailed and full of curiosity so you would never get bored, The cinematography was pretty cheesy throughout some scenes but thats what they had at the time so i respect that. The movie was great overall i would give it 8/10 i would see it again it was pretty cool.

Goldfinger

Goldfinger, the 3rd movie of of a very successful series of film has proven to be a thrilling adventure/action movie that has kept me on my seat throughout the film. The time of film that this movie was made is quite remarkable as you see the use of camera angle and digital effect ahead of its time. Goldfinger is about an obsessive evil man that does bad deeds that James Bond, the main character, stops eventually at the end of the movie. 007 have been a recognizable film series throughout the year and I look forward to seeing another one.

Golden Fried Chicken Finger$

The James Bond 007 movies have been around for over a decade and they keep on coming! It's always good seeing the newer films but I actually enjoyed watching the older movie a lot. It was very entertaining and even though a lot of the backdrops were really fake, it was still fun to see how movie sets were back then, compared to how they are now. I liked the Asian guy with the top hat that would cut through anything and the amount of action in the film was phenomenal. I give this a 10/10 and recommend everyone to see it. I would watch it again.

Gold finger !

This movie is a staple in the action genre.  Throughout the movie the amount of pace changes is very cool.  One moment Bond can be in serious danger, and the next he'll be walking along with a girl.  How Bond can continually keep his cool even in the most stressful situations is very impressive.  As sexist as this movie can be taken I believe that these accusations are blown extremely far out of proportion.  What girl wouldn't want to make love to Bond?  Also it's never that the girl says no and Bond continues to do his thing.  James Bond is a charming charismatic man and this movie is a great action staple.  I give this 6 out of 6 gold revolver shots fired.

Gold finger eh

James Bond filmes have been a huge part in the film industry for a long time. The new modern 007 movies are coming out year to year but watching the originals shows you how advanced the cinematography and technology was to preform the advanced high price requiring scenes. As a viewer you also acquire a sense of the culture that was present in that time towards smoking and drinking and attitude toward woman and how all those things have changed to the modern day. The technology of the time was incredible and the original films cannot be beat by other films in its time hence it being such a popular film, and influenced by the originals new great James Bond movies are still being created.

Gandhi

The film Gandhi was set to focus on the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Mahatma Gandhi was twenty three when he moved to South Africa in 1893. He was a political and spiritual leader who influenced the people by nothing more than example. This 188 minute, Oscar-winning film shows the struggles the Indians went through for independence through Gandhi’s “passive resistance” policy. Ben Kingsley; the main actor, won eight Academy Awards (and it’s not hard to see why). He seemed to have a good understanding of what his character was about and did an amazing job of portraying that. What I enjoyed most about the film is how simple Gandhi’s actions were, yet how much they did to influence people to follow him. The one part of the film that was sad to watch was when a large group of men, women, and children where basically murdered when they had done nothing wrong. I think the meaning and purpose of this film showed through a lot better than most movies because it was like watching a history documentary. It was more personal because it was easy to see the injustices towards Indians and how it directly effected them. This film made me realize how racially separated we were at this time and what families had to go through for their independence. Although this is an older film, there were no noticeable differences in the quality that made it seem out dated. If I was the director, I wouldn’t have done anything differently because for one I don’t know much about the time period it was supposed to focus on, and I enjoyed the way the film turned out. :)
